Turning a New Leaf in Week 2




    As stated in my title, the Rams won against the Falcons in what should have been a blowout. Unfortunately, the game was unnecessarily close in classic Rams fashion. With a twenty-one-point lead going into the fourth quarter, the Rams managed to win the game with a score of 31-27. Cooper Kupp had a great game with 11 catches and 108 yards with two touchdowns. After Tremayne Anchrum Jr. hurt his ankle on the second play, he had to be carted off in the first quarter. Luckily the Rams replaced him with A.J. Jackson, and he exceeded expectations. Fortunately for the Rams, they started the game strong by stopping the Falcons on the opening drive due to the former Seahawk, Bobby Wagner. Speaking of newly acquired players making a difference, wide receiver Allen Robinson had his first touchdown as a Ram. Robinson also had four completions for fifty-three yards throughout the game and is projected to perform much better throughout the season. The Rams starting quarterback Matthew Stafford threw two interceptions which shows improvement from last week's three interceptions against the Buffalo Bills.

                                      
  
  Jalen Ramsey, the top cornerback in the NFL, won the game for the Rams late in the fourth quarter with an interception, showing how strong his presence was on defense when some were beginning to doubt his abilities. After the game, head coach for the Rams Sean Mcvay described his satisfaction with the win by saying, "I haven't been doing this that long, but I've been doing it long enough to know you never take a 


Looking in the future to week three against the Arizona Cardinals, the Cardinals are predicted to win with 52% confidence from winning team models and predictions. Both the Rams and the Cardinals lost their opening games of the year before going on to win the second games. Each team wants to improve their record to 2-1 before the playoffs by picking up more wins so Sunday’s game is one you don’t want to miss.
