Ending in Style

Unfortunately, this is going to be my last blog post, but I will be giving updates if the Rams make it to the playoffs, which is extremely unlikely. With star players like Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, Aaron Donald, and many more, the Rams have a one percent probability of making the playoffs.       All this considered, the Rams season is far from over, especially considering the last game against the Las Vegas Raiders. We ended up winning 17-16 by scoring 14 in the last 4 minutes of the game. With the exception of kneeling down, the Rams' final two possessions saw them go 98 yards and 75 yards for touchdowns. They gained a total of 145 yards in net yards throughout those two drives. Up until their final two drives down the field, the Rams' offensive performance really wasn't that great. To understand how crazy this performance was, teams in the past have been 2-551 while losing by 13 points or more with 4 minutes to play over the last five yea...

Injuries Destroy the Rams

Image
The stakes are high in week 9 for both the Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Rams are 3-4 and hoping to avoid finishing below. 500, and the Buccaneers are much worse at 3-5 after dropping three straight games. In Week 9, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers came out on top, defeating the Los Angeles Rams 16-13 . With just under two minutes left, Tom Brady and the Buccaneers' offense turned the ball over at the Rams' 6-yard line, effectively ending the game for Los Angeles.       With 44 seconds left in the game, Sean McVay's offense punted the ball back to Brady after being unable to accomplish anything on the subsequent drive. The Hall of Fame quarterback, Tom Brady, only had 35 yards to move down the field before hitting Cade Otton for the winning touchdown. This upset encompasses the Ram's luck this season as a whole from poor play calls, unlucky losses, and too many injuries. Tom Brady also exceeded 100,000 career yards , and with 55 game-winning ...

Week 8 Troubles

Image
The Rams faced the 49ers for the second time this season since their 24-9 loss in week 4. This week the 49ers, with their newly acquired Christian McCaffrey, beat the Rams 31-14 . McCaffrey had one touchdown, eighteen carries, eight receptions, fifty-five receiving yards, one receiving touchdown, one passing touchdown, and thirty-four passing yards. Cooper Kupp, on the other hand, had one touchdown, eight receptions, two carries, and ten rushing yards. With Deebo Samuel out for week eight due to a hamstring injury and Kyle Juszczyk out with a finger injury , the Rams were supposed to have an easier time, but they still haven't had the results they've been looking for. The 49ers receiver Brandon Aiyuk led his team in receiving performance with six catches, 81 yards, and a touchdown. With only two minutes to go in the fourth, Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp suffered a minor ankle injury, and many seemed worried. Luckily after missing just one practice on Wednesday, Kupp is back...

Week 6 Win Plus Promising Future

Image
After battling with the best teams, the Rams have the most demanding schedule, no doubt, but week 6 was a breath of fresh air for the Rams and their fans. The Rams lost two challenging games against the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys in the last two weeks, but a win against the Carolina Panthers boosted team morale. With a 24-10 win over Carolina, the Rams went into week 7 with a bye week, so the win added to the satisfaction. The Rams are again using the bye week to relax and rest for week 8's big game against the 49ers. The Rams are currently 3-3 and second in the NFC West division behind the Seattle Seahawks, who are 4-3.  Both offensive lines looked solid, as neither allowed a sack which was considered to be their fault. The Panthers only allowed one pressure on 19 pass-blocking snaps, compared to the Rams' seven pressures on 33 pass-blocking snaps. This is a good turnaround for the Ram's O-line, considering their atrocious performance the last couple of g...

Spare Parts and Slow Starts: How health concerns have hurt the Rams' return to contention

Week three for the Rams went surprisingly well, with a 20-12 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. What helped the Rams win this game? To put it simply, our offense won us that game. Whether it was Cooper Kupp's 20-yard touchdown, Cam Akers' 14-yard touchdown, or Matt Gay's two field goals . Rams rookie cornerback Derion Kendrick had a fantastic game by forcing a critical incomplete pass on fourth down and allowing seven catches for 78 yards on 13 targets. The rams also had Jalen Ramsey, who forced two incompletions, two coverage stops and allowed three catches on four targets for 14 yards on 49 coverage snaps. Unfortunately, Ramsey didn't play that well for the next two games against the 49ers and the Cowboys. During week four for the Rams they played the 49ers. With an injured team consisting of key offensive linemen and defensive players, it wasn't a surprise we lost. The rams were missing two   cornerbacks, two linebackers, a center, and a guard .   In an embarras...

Turning a New Leaf in Week 2

Image
As stated in my title, the Rams won against the Falcons in what should have been a blowout. Unfortunately, the game was unnecessarily close in classic Rams fashion. With a twenty-one-point lead going into the fourth quarter, the Rams managed to win the game with a score of 31-27. Cooper Kupp had a great game with 11 catches and 108 yards with two touchdowns. After Tremayne Anchrum Jr. hurt his ankle on the second play, he had to be carted off in the first quarter. Luckily the Rams replaced him with A.J. Jackson, and he exceeded expectations. Fortunately for the Rams, they started the game strong by stopping the Falcons on the opening drive due to the former Seahawk, Bobby Wagner. Speaking of newly acquired players making a difference, wide receiver Allen Robinson had his first touchdown as a Ram. Robinson also had four completions for fifty-three yards throughout the game and is projected to perform much better throughout the season. The Rams starting quarterback Ma...

Chaos in Week 1

Image
Hello, my name is Brady C. I'm going to be starting this blog to talk about the current news regarding anything Rams related. If you're unfamiliar with American Football, last year's Super Bowl Champions were the Los Angeles Rams, and they are projected to play very well this year. Now you may be wondering why I am a Los Angeles Rams fan, and the reason for that is because I am a California native and also because my father was a Rams fan even before they were any good.       My title describes the Ram's week one performance as "Chaos," but what does that mean for the Rams heading into week 2? Well, lost story short, the Rams haven't been humbled like this since Week 18 of the 2021 Season. What happened after last year's awful game against the San Francisco 49ers? The Rams dominated the Arizona Cardinals, beat Tom Brady, the 49ers in the NFC Championship, and finally won the Super Bowl. All this is interesting, but it doesn't ...
